Dr. Thomas Dimopoulos is Assistant Professor in Real Estate and Head of the Real Estate Department at Neapolis University Pafos. He is also the Managing Partner and CEO of AXIA Chartered Surveyors and serves on the Europe Board of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC).
He holds a Degree in Rural and Surveying Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in International Real Estate from Oxford Brookes University, and a PhD in Mass Appraisal, Valuation and Property Taxation from the Cyprus University of Technology. His academic work focuses on property valuation, mass appraisal systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and property taxation.
Dr. Dimopoulos combines academic expertise with extensive professional experience in the real estate sector. Since founding AXIA Chartered Surveyors in 2012, he has completed more than 15,000 property valuations covering residential, commercial, hospitality, and development assets in Cyprus and abroad. His work includes valuations, feasibility studies, expert witness reports, and advisory services for financial institutions, public authorities, investment funds, and private organisations.
At Neapolis University, he has been responsible for the RICS accreditation of the MSc in Real Estate, supervised more than 150 dissertations, and taught a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in property valuation, investment, development, and real estate economics.
He is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), RICS Registered Valuer, and member of several international professional organisations, including the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and the International Property Taxation Institute (IPTI). In addition to his professional practice, he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to professional guidance and academic publications, and regularly participates in international conferences and industry events as an invited speaker.
